Women are being prescribed testosterone and Viagra when there is no evidence either will improve their sex lives, a University of British Columbia researcher specializing in sexual health says.
Lori Brotto, a psychologist and professor in the department of obstetrics and gynecology, said that while there are no treatments approved by Health Canada for female sexual dysfunction, doctors are turning to âœoff-labelâ use of drugs approved for other conditions.

NEWS:Concern over £7.3m bill for Viagra-type drugs in Wales
CONCERNS have been raised about the £7.3m annual bill for drugs, including Viagra, to treat erectile dysfunction in Wales.
Figures obtained by the Conservatives show the cost of prescribing these drugs has increased by a staggering 59% in just four years.

NEWS:Man convicted of selling fake Viagra, Cialis pills
A federal jury has found a 55-year-old guilty of selling fake Viagra and Cialis pills in Charlotte.
Awni Shauaib Zayyad, 55, of Wilson, N.C., could face up to 17 years in prison and $ 752,000 in fines, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
